Who is the Green-Eyed Girl for Green-Eyed Girl ProductionsHello World, and welcome to my little piece of the Internet. Wedding Planning had always been a dream to me, beginning in 3rd grade. I’m sure you all know that girl in your class who was in charge of everything from middle school carnivals to Homecoming committees, yep that was me! I have always loved taking big productions and breaking them down into little projects.

My path here was a little windy. I went to college, playing volleyball and obtained a degree in Education, then a Master’s in Behavior Management. Throughout college, I still managed to be involved in coordinating, organizing and running large events including the weddings of many friends. After 5 long years of college, I had intended to apply for the kindergarten position at the school where I did my student teaching. Unfortunately, at the time our state was in that awesome teaching epidemic for budgets, and the position filled internally while letting several teachers go.

It was at Christmas time in 2008 and my mom and I were sitting in Applebees, sulking about my failed teaching career. And I started to draw my logo on a napkin. It was then that she asked if I wanted to start my own company, the one that I had always dreamed about!

I settled into the Wedding & Event Coordinating business and opened to the public under the business name, Green-Eyed Girl Productions in 2009. In our first 4 “public” years we were fortunate enough to be able to offer our clients all of our own rental items such as tables and chairs.

In 2012 I married my husband and in 2013 we had our first son. I closed down the rental company and transitioned to 100% coordinating in January of 2014, which has been an amazing experience. I now coordinate exclusively from home, being a work-at-home mom which has its own set of rewards and challenges. We moved to Stayton, OR in March of 2015 right after having our second son.

As a coordinator, I prefer to think of GEG as an Interactive Event Planning Classroom. I use my education as a teacher to essentially “teach” couples how to plan their life events, big and small. I use worksheets, homework, interactive lessons and event host a few parent-teacher conferences. Their Big Day is just like a graduation where everyone can appreciate a job well done, and a well-organized journey completed efficiently. It’s the most amazing part of it all- seeing them succeed and being a part of a dream come true…

About Me…

Everything in my house is stored in a clear tote with a carefully made label, which is probably why The Project Block System exists today. I love everything Key Lime or Lavender flavored and can be found pounding Panera Bread in parking lots while running errands.

I am a Ravenclaw, married to a Gryffindor, raising a Slytherin and a Hufflepuff. We’re a houseful of magical personalities but I love Motherhood and squeezing in every professional mom moment I can.

My favorite literary character is Professor McGonagall and THIS SCENE. Minute 2:31. I cry EVERY. SINGLE. TIME.

If you’re a part of my Wedding Planning Team, you will most definitely catch a Harry Potter reference at least once.
