Are you the traditional couple who wants to see each other at the altar for the first time? If you’ve decided to opt out of the First Look there are some very awesome ideas for a “See you at the Altar” moment and or gift so that you can still catch a few of those suspenseful, butterfly pictures 😉
Why have a “See you at the Altar” Moment?
I’m sure that you have heard the benefit of a First Look. You were probably informed that it would severely increase the efficiency of your pictures, and that’s true, it will. But, from a wedding planners’ perspective, I think that the First Look alleviates a lot of stress and emotion for the couple. So, if you opt out of the First Look, you can still gain these benefits with a “See you at the Altar” Moment.
What is a See you at the Altar Moment?
Seeing each other before the ceremony, as you would for a First Look does improve your time line, yaddah yaddah. But it also soothes a ton of anxiety. “Is he even HERE? Is his hair right?” These and a ton of other ridiculous questions flooded my mind on our wedding day. Plus, on our biggest day I was nervous, obviously and who do I turn to when I’m at my most vulnerable? The dude I’m marrying. I’m sure that you’re that way too even if just a little bit.
See you in 10 Minutes
Without a First Look, you can still send your spouse-to-be that very special moment and message of, “Everything is going to be alright” and you’ll both feel many butterflies float away. He or she is there. You know you’re on track and everything will be okay, and perfect.
How to Plan the Moment
My favorite way that couples’ do this is with a gifted watch and a precious little note. {The said note can have more meaning to the couple than we all think wink, wink} You pick a place at your venue where you can go and set out the gift. Make sure your note is there too. Your Photographer will help walk him or her out to get the gift and read the note, plus take some incredible, emotional pictures. Some couples exchanges gifts from the other sides of a door and you can actually hear each other for a brief moment too 😉
I just so happen to know of an amazingly unique and beautiful watch that fits the moment. Not only that, but JORD Watches and myself would love to help you make your See you at the Altar moment special.
The watch shown is my watch and I absolutely love it. It is the Frankie Dark Sandalwood with Smoke Face.
