Let’s talk about those gorgeous rings! Did you know that the saying, “Tying the Knot” originated by couples tying a piece of string around their left ring fingers to identify they were married? They would actually knot a little symbol of holy bond around their fingers. We’ve come a LONG way since then and your options are virtually endless! Some have even left behind the traditional diamond and are using precious gems, colored glass and even wood or rock rings to symbolize their love for the world to see. Bottom line, you really can’t go wrong and whatever you decide is going to look beautiful in these pictures! Now let’s talk about Wedding Ring Photography! Oooooh…… Aaaaaaah….
This amazing collection of wedding ring photography comes to us courtesy of Kelsea Joann Photography. Thank you, Kelsea, for sharing! You can see that there are many, MANY ways to honor your little beauties you’re so proud, so start pinning and start thinking about this photo. Who doesn’t like a solid ring picture for their album?
You probably had it insured by the jeweler already, but that may only include cleaning, loose stones, etc. CHECK and see what it covers. I’m willing to bet it won’t cover replacement of a lost or stolen ring. For that, you’ll need to add it to your Home Owners Policy. Here is a quick and simple Ring Insurance 101 Article from The Knot that you can read for the importance of getting ring insurance. Guess what? They’re going to want a nice, clear picture of your rings for their records! Ta-Da!
Planning the Picture
Most photographers, when they arrive will come to grab a few things from your dressing room before they dive into the getting ready photos. They will need your rings, your bouquet and possibly your dress and veil to trot off and take these precious detail shots. I don’t advise that YOU the bride invest too much of your precious planning time staging this picture. As you can see, photographers do a great job using their creativity and the props around to capture beautiful images… all while you’re getting your makeup done! However, is a particular image does strike you, like the rings on your Big Day’s newspaper headline or with your grandmother’s garter, definitely DO clue in your photographer.
Alright, alright! I’m done distracting you from all this beauty… enjoy the rest in peace and quiet 😉
