Your Wedding Welcome Table or Welcome Signs are the first things your guests see when they attend your wedding. In The Project Block System, Welcome Tables are called Project Block 2 as they’re the second step in your guests’ arrival plan. Project Block 1 being Invitations, Driving, and Parking. Join us in The TEAM Experience and we’ll walk you through everything!
If you are currently enrolled in The Project Block System you can review this Project in the Teachable Lecture.
Wedding Welcome Tables
Many times a Project Block 2 table is merged with the Project Block 3 Gift Table… But in the event that it isn’t and you need it to serve a purpose, you have options. Dive into all of this Inspiration below and determine if you actually have two separate Projects or if they can coexist in one location.

Wedding Welcome Signs
An easy and simple way to add in your theme from the very beginning of your wedding day is to have a large Welcome sign made. These are perfect Project Block 2’s because it helps guests know they’re in the correct place. These can also be separate from a Project Block 3 if they’re set on an easel outside. Though, the Guest Book is still with Project Block 3, inside the building.

You can also use your Project Block 2 to decorate your Venue Entrance, or Church steps. Like this crate set up below, It’s not a P1 becuase guests see it after they’ve parked. It’s also not a P3 because guests won’t leave gifts here. That makes it a P2, in between. While you’re planning your decorations, think about when guests will see it in chronological order.
Why isn’t this a P23? Project Block 23’s, or Decorative Extras are large scale decorations that cover across the entire wedding. P23’s are drapes, paper lanterns, etc. Items you see within multiple locations.

A Sign or Welcome Table can serve a unique purpose if your venue requires that guests do a bit of walking. In that Teachable LEcture when you hear me call it a “shortstop” this is what I’m referring to… For example, if your guests have to park at a distant location, like a middle school parking lot, and shuttle to the venue, your Project Block 2 has a lot of value. This sign below was at a farm where the guests came to the front entrance while the ceremony was in the back acres, in a field. Guests rode out to the ceremony on hayrides.

Wedding Ceremony Props
Your P2 also serves the purpose of giving guests anything they need to have for the ceremony. We welcome them and give them something, as opposed to the P3 where they give you something. If you are giving out ceremony props I highly recommend you arrange your P2 to come after the P3 in walking order. This way your guest will have set down the gift in his/her hand before they pick up your props.

I love the Tears of Joy vintage handkerchiefs as a bonus favor for guests to use during the ceremony. I also highly recommend having some bottled water out if your guests are in the sun. These items are great for guest-courtesy and hospitality. Our wedding was in direct sunlight, at 101* in July, so we put packets of sunscreen on each of the chairs.

Ceremony Tossers
In addition to hospitality, your guests might *need* something for your ceremony if they’re a part of it. They would get these items off of your P2 Welcome Table. Ceremony Tossers are the most common. You can have individual Toss Me Bags or bulk handfuls. If your venue doesn’t allow tossers, I love how at Sam’s wedding they did bubbles for everyone to “Blow Kisses to the Mr. & Mrs.” as they came back up the aisle.

For our wedding, I had saved all of the rose petals Billy had given me over 7 years. We punched them into butterflies and had guests “toss our old love to make room for the new love.” Read all about it in its own blog post.

Individual Toss Me Bags are another great way to have your guests “Sprinkle You with Love” as you walk up the aisle. Please, use biodegradable confetti over plastics though… We happen to have a large variety of options in the Etsy Shop! Remember to use your Inspired Coordination Coupon Code.

PEW CONES: If you only need a little bit, or don’t want to deal with the little Toss Me Bags, you can opt for Wedding Exit Toss Confetti in bulk. Grab a few cake doilies for cute cones and attach them to the aisle chair only. That lucky guest standing aisle-side will get to do the honors.

You can even go all out and toss larger Polka Dot Confetti if your venue allows it. ALWAYS ASK YOUR VENUE. Perhaps your wedding is indoors and you can sweep it up easily. If polka dots are a theme throughout your wedding you could even add some into your invitations for some extra fun!

Wedding Programs
And finally, the last and most common thing to land on a Wedding Welcome Table is of course a Program. Programs are a great way to communicate with your guests before, during and after the wedding so you’re not flooded with 100 questions. On a program you can include the names of the wedding party, important times and instructions for guests following the ceremony.
