This was such an amazing day with an amazing group of people! Angela contacted me about doing a Styled Shoot with her at The Oregon Garden in April and I thought, “Welp, she’s Tekoa Rose so I can’t say no!” A few days later we landed on this Trendy Travel-Esque theme that combined metals and vintage leathers. Our couple was having a destination wedding, so we thought we’d tie that in too. After that, the Etsy Vendors came on board and together we developed this amazing, “The Adventure Begins” Theme…
The Oregon Garden
We were so lucky to have a venue with so much natural beauty already there. The next step was then to utilize it. We used their main lawn with this amazing bronzed metal walkway as our ceremony focal point because I just so happened to have a smaller arch that coordinated perfectly! We just had to vintage it up a bit.
The rest of the details were really fun to coordinate. As The Oregon Garden is a really big venue, where guests are encouraged to explore, I decided to design a Welcome Table around Clocks and the “times” they should report back for our mock-wedding. I LOVE all of the little details we got from the Etsy Community! The Happy Wife, Happy Life print is from Joyful Maehem and our cornerstone sign, The Adventure Begins was handpainted for me by my friend Sara and The Pink Pinecone.
Sweethearts Forever
After our ceremony, our couple came down to the courtyard for a quaint reception. Their Sweetheart Table, complete with Mr. & Mrs. Signs from Perryhill Rustics, awaited them.
These Origami Map Roses from The Drunken Seagull were one of my main details from the moment we planned this shoot! I really wanted them to be a part of the destination theme and these terrariums gave them a perfect home on the tables thanks to The Golden Pear Floral Design.
The Reception Table
Does anyone else see the resemblance to a vintage hot-air balloon in a cargo net on this main table? A little vintage cargo meets globe-trotter, meets elegance. 😉 Each place setting has a calligraphed nametag from The Vintage Event.
And for Dessert… Milk & Cookies
This is definitely my favorite part of the shoot. I even used my grandmother’s own cookie recipe! Embracing the whole grab & Go, get on the road, destination feel, I decided to design a vintage Cookie Bar with the help of Danner & Soli. The Banner is from The Vintage Event and Straws are courtesy of Twigs & Twirls.

An overall Amazing Day!
We are so grateful to all of our contributors and vendors! And Special Thanks to our Happy Couple Jelea & Nate! This Styled Shoot was originally featured last year for us on A Paper Proposal. You can find all of those involved below.
