Inspire Others...

…July 2014….
This was an exceptionally fun couple to work with! Very easy going and lighthearted with so much love to go around. Working with Kat & Jesse was almost like being brought into the family for a few months, they were that sweet and endearing. It is really a special experience to be treated with such respect and appreciation from start to finish. Never have I actually had the groom keep coming up to me at the reception and asking ME, “are you okay, can I get you anything? Are you having fun?” Seriously? Go talk to your guests silly! It is no wonder that this family is so in love, so compatible and embracing their new “papa bear” this summer!

Today’s wedding took us out to Dorris Ranch for the ceremony and then back to the family home for a backyard reception. This made for a bit of quick set up and break down and then resetting at the reception. Guests were welcomed with this table for the guest book, along with directions to the reception. Kat, an avid collector of things beautiful was able to style most if not ALL her own wedding. We simply had to set up each Project Block in the proper location.

Part of their ceremony included a romantic Native American “Cleansing of the Hands” ritual to honor Kat’s heritage. We set up our Sweetheart backdrop at the aisle entrance to settle a focal point.

Back at the reception we re-positioned the guest book…
Fortunately, as is the case with many back yard weddings, you are able to set up precious details the night before and even perfect them. Kat and her girls took it one step further and set up EVERYTHING the morning of the wedding! It was completely styled by her and the girls. Didn’t they do an excellent job? I just love the overall eclectic mix of personality that came through. Any small ingredients that I dropped off for her style kit were set up by them as well.

After signing the guest book, if they missed it at Dorris Ranch, guests set down their gifts and hopped in a hay bale photo booth with western props, feather head bands and cowboy hats!

The next table displayed a Groom’s Cake

The backyard was lined with tables, hay bales, mason jar centerpieces and favor bags including personal hand made soaps from Kat.

Mason jars with chalk board labels kept everyone’s drinks in order. Color coordinated handkerchiefs doubled as napkins with rolled up flatware.

After the ceremony we rushed down our backdrop and reassembled it at the reception for the Sweetheart Table.

An adorable cake topper of two snuggle black bears and a table build by Jesse.
