… September 2014…
Today’s super sweet and styling event takes us out to one of my favorite places, The Blue Rooster Inn, where Katie and Sam host an amazingly genuine, cool and by all other definitions, just a personality filled day. It was so awesome to be a part of their planning, having never actually seen many of the Project Blocks myself until the big day, I was so impressed by their organizing and attention to little details that pulled everything together! Great music, great twists to wedding traditions and great SHOES!
Amazing details captured by Alyssa Armstrong (mainly in California but LOVES to travel!)
Guests made their way up to the historic barn where they were greeted with a welcome table that Katie had styled herself with homage pictures to family and the relationship she shares with Sam. She chose “sweet” honey stick favors adorned with fitting tags to commemorate the big day.
Guests continued towards the gift table in front of the barn, which had been marked for the occasion
Katie, Sam and their families were out here the night before diligently working on their set up and it truly paid off with all of these amazing details!
The Gift Table, complete with vintage chalk board messages…
The ceremony took place inside the barn complete with a set of rustic doors for an altar (from
Country Chic Rentals) and a vintage chandelier.
A big piece of the puzzle, and part of our involvement on the Big Day was a “set change” from ceremony to reception… Guests were requested to leave the barn and enjoy cocktails by the pond while a “crew” led by friend Laura broke down the ceremony and set up all of the tables & centerpieces.
This perfect presentation cake was made by a friend (who should really turn pro) for the couple to cut, to a song by band, CAKE, while guests also enjoyed lemon cupcakes
These awesome self-made records added a personal touch behind the cake display
One of my FAVORITE details, from the many of this wedding is that they opted to serve waffles for dinner! How creative and original!
Alma Catering provided a delightful menu that pleases all guests
…and then as it does on all wedding days, the sun began to set on guests who enjoyed great music, company and lawn games out in the country. They danced the night away in pure wedded bliss…. I mean seriously? Look how happy these two are!
