…August 2014….
This wedding was especially delightful for me since it brought me together with two other former UO Athletes, Salena Softball and Randall Football. The entire process was, well, easy, simply because we had a game plan, executed assignments, huddled up, and set goals for our next meeting. Whenever we had a meeting Salena was prepared, pen out, ready with her list of progress and questions and eager to over achieve. Randall made me laugh several times with his approach to homework, always wanting to “win” at it…. “So we have to get around to each table and talk to guests in 2 minutes? Oh I got this!” then later…. while Salena was still talking to a table and Randall was moving on, “I’m totally winner aren’t I?” The fun and funny competitive love of this couple was so enjoyable to work with. Their families must also be the same way (since apples don’t fall, yaddah, yaddah) because this was my most efficient wedding all summer! Game day came and everyone was exactly in their places. Groomsmen were actually asking ME what we were waiting on! One even tapped his watch at me when we were one minute over “aisle time”… like I said before, EVERYONE on this day showed up ready to play!
Today’s setting was out at RiverRidge Golf Complex in Eugene, Oregon. Rustic teal and peach all around. Several Project Blocks included the welcome table, complete with this gorgeous signing book by Bruce Berg Photography.

The wedding party sat together at one long head table with the bride & groom front and center

A behind the scenes sneak peek: A GEG standards in practice is to provide iced water at the altar for the bride, groom and officiant in case they get choked up or just thirsty during the ceremony. They are nicer looking and quieter than bottled water, just in case they get caught in a picture 🙂 We also provide the for the photographer by request since they are working really hard all day too!
