Inspire Others...

Behavioral Signage is one of my favorite topics. Although we can easily get carried away with all the signs, we *want* to make, This Project is where we create the most successful experience for your Wedding guests.  Here is the Progress Checklist for all this week’s Project Block. Have all these items checked and DONE prior to starting the next Project Block Week so you stay on track.

Week 21 Progress Checklist

  • Review the Week 20 Progress Blog Post again
  • Watch the Teachable Lecture for Project Block 19
  • BEHAVIORAL SIGNAGE
    • Take a mental walk through each Project Block you’ve already styled, thinking about signs you need for each
      • Think about all the space in between Projects that guests might need directions.
      • From P1 to P2 does there need to be a “keep going” sign? It isn’t a part of P1 or P2… it’s in between, a floater. So, we give it an island, which is a P19. All of your P19’s will scatter throughout your venue.
    • Use some post-it notes to number each or your signs by Project Block so that they can be easily dispersed on the wedding day. Or note on them, “Between P1 and P2”
  • AESTHETICS
    • Choose a font for your wedding signage
      • You can choose 3: A Title Font, Heading Font, and Text Font
    • Determine how signs will be made: Wood, Chalkboard, Framed Prints, a Combination
    • Draft all your signs to coordinate in format before creating them
    • Plan a production day to complete all your signage or DIY Projects
      • Create an At-Home Shopping List, Renting List and Purchase List
      • Remove any pictures from frames you’re using that you already own & clean
    • Label all signage with post-it notes for where it will live on your wedding day
  • UNPLUGGED WEDDINGS
    • Determine if your ceremony will be “Unplugged” meaning no cell phones taking pictures
    • Create a sign to live on P2, P3 or P4 somewhere
    • Write it into your Ceremony Script for the Officiant to reminder guests before the ceremony
  • WEDDING HASHTAGS
    • Perhaps you want to opposite and hope for full guest photography to be shared on Social Media
    • Create a unique wedding hashtag for your wedding to be used on Instagram or Facebook
    • You can also create a Drop Box for your Wedding
    • Create a sign with your hashtag to live on P2, P3 or P4 somewhere
      • You can also create more signs for the reception, or move/transition your ceremony signage
