Inspire Others...

There may be thousands of different ways to do your Wedding Centerpieces but coordinating them will always be the same. They will include set up, clean up and an After-Wedding Plan.  Here is the Progress Checklist for all this week’s Project Block. Have all these items checked and DONE prior to starting the next Project Block Week so you stay on track.

Project Block 22 Checklist

  • Review the Week 23 Progress Blog Post again
  • Watch the Teachable Lecture for Project Block 22
  • MOCK CENTERPIECES
    • Obtain enough ingredients to do a mock set up of all centerpiece styles. Yes, go buy some flowers for yourself just this once and take accurate pictures.
    • Take pictures of each centerpiece and affix it to your Worksheet backside or make another page.
    • READ: Eco-Friendly Centerpiece Inspirations
  • FLORIST INVOICE
    • Get a table count for how many centerpieces/arrangements are needed
    • Include your ceremony decor, food tables, welcome/gift tables, reception tables, cake tables, tribute tables
      • PRO TIP: Have your Tossing Bouquet be an arrangement on your P2 or P3
      • PRO TIP: Have your Aisle Decor for P4 turn into your centerpieces
      • PRO TIP: Get extra vases for your head table(s) and use your bridesmaids’ bouquets as the centerpieces!
      • PRO TIP: Put a nice vase on your Sweetheart Table for your bouquet too! You’ll need somewhere to put it and you don’t need to order another centerpiece.
  • DELIVERY & SETUP
    • Plan with your Florist a Delivery or Pickup Schedule
    • Make sure to plan delivery AFTER your tables are set up and ready for centerpieces if they must build them
      • Some centerpieces can be dropped off and simply set, but we don’t want florists waiting around on tables if they must build, so plan accordingly
  • AFTER WEDDING PLAN
    • What will happen to florals the night of the wedding?
      • Determine the vase return and flower plan
        • Separate florals & vases, then wash and box for florist pick up
        • Save florals in smaller arrangements and donate them
        • Take them home to use at the Next Morning Brunch
        • Send centerpieces home with your Awesome People
      • Designate a Liaison to take them all home and/or return the vases to the florist
  • BRIDAL BOUQUET
    • Determine if you’ll preserve it or dry it
    • Make sure it is kept in water overnight

Project Block 23 Checklist

  • Watch the Teachable Lecture for Project Block 23
  • VENUE SET UP
  • Ask your venue about restrictions and limitations for decorations.
      • Some venues do not allow tacks, staples, nails, etc. into their historic barn wood
    • Can you do the P23 the day before the wedding? ASK!
    • Confirm a person who can get on a ladder and do the necessary set up before you even buy anything.
      • Don’t waste your money on paper lanterns if no human is available to put them up for you.
    • Determine who will put them up AND who will take them down
    • Make sure you can get them DOWN before you must be out of your venue
