I’m guessing some of you have probably worked ahead and that’s okay! I’m a day late due to the Holiday Weekend.
You should have received your email Sunday night anyway with your assignment this week. If you’re not receiving emails yet, you’ll definitely want to join that list! Scroll back to Intro Week and sign up for the emails 😊
For this Project we cover a few factors related to your guests ARRIVING and essentially “entering” you wedding venue.
Invitations
The main piece of this project that doesn’t have a worksheet is Invitations. These are covered in the Guest List Excel Spreadsheet Miniseries I’m sure you all took. Make sure to review that Invitation Wording 101 Slideshow when you start needing wording examples and save the date addressing.
Save the Dates
These are also a good topic to cover as we get closer to the holidays.
Guests Needs & Accommodations
This is a topic that is highly overlooked by most couples planning their wedding. I’d say maybe 20% of the brides I’ve had over the last 10 years have thought about this. So here it is, take time to think about the parking lot of your wedding venue and how each guest will park/walk/exit. This includes elderly, pregnant guests and any wheelchairs. Another piece I have to say… check into the weight limit of your chairs and check over your guest list for any individual who may surpass that weight limit. Have a plan for his/her seating arrangement. Most chairs have at least a 300-pound limit.
Directional Signage
And here we have this week’s assignment! Your venue won’t change {at least it shouldn’t} so you should have a green-light to do some DIY Project work! Make those Directional Signs this week and post them below for Team Points!
