This week is fun but also emotional. We’re getting into Ceremony Script writing. If you’re writing your own vows or having someone sing, this is the week to write it all down. Here is the Progress Checklist for all this week’s Project Block. Have all these items checked and DONE prior to starting the next Project Block Week so you stay on track.

Week 9 Progress Checklist

  • Review the Week 8 Progress Blog Post again
  • Watch the Teachable Lecture for Project Block 4C & 4D
  • Assign Ushers to help seat guests and grandparents
  • PROCESSIONAL: List out in order, by name all those coming down the aisle and their escorts.
    • Decide on Processional songs
    • Schedule Meeting with your DJ/Musicians for ceremony run through
      • P29 WORKSHEET
  • CEREMONY: Create a Script first draft
    • Identify which style or religious tradition you are following and where the wedding party will stand at the altar
    • Begin writing vows
      • Use Vow Examples WORKSHEET
    • Ask any participants: Readers, Singers, Speakers, etc.
      • Select Readings & Songs
  • RECESSIONAL: Decide what you would like to do immediately after the ceremony: Receiving Line, Couple’s Retreat, etc.
    • Are there any announcements for the Officiant to make?
    • Where do guests go next & and how to they know?
    • Who are the witnesses for your Marriage License?
      • TELL them today
  • Meet with your Officiant to go through first DRAFT OF SCRIPT
  • Shop for and buy Wedding Shoes for both of you
  • Shop for your dress undergarments
  • Schedule second dress fitting and/or alterations fitting
  • Shop for Wedding Rings
    • Insure Wedding Rings
  • Schedule trial run for Hair and/or makeup the day of your Bridal Shower = Pro Tip!
  • Prepare to plan Project Block 6 Transition which happens after your ceremony
