Project Block 0 – Lecture 1 Video.mp4
Getting Pretty!
We’re off and running! The first Project Block we focus on takes us to the very beginning of your day… getting ready! Although there are many, many aspects to this Project, we’re starting you with the basics, and then we’ll build it up.
Not all details will wrap up in one week but you can at least get them going.
Your Project Block Workbook has a few bonus Worksheets for this Block. These are for Bridesmaids & Groomsmen, which are covered in Projects 0B & 0C. They do not have their own Blog Posts {yet} but you should be able to complete the worksheets on your own.
Building your Worksheet
Image(s)

Select the one main image style you would like for your Bridal Dressing Room memories. This may be a shot of all your bridesmaids, you getting into your dress, or even Mom seeing you for the first time.
There will be a few dozen perhaps, pictures you’ll really want. You may need to print some on the backside of this worksheet too 😉 This is known as your Bridesmaid Photo List which you’ll build and attach separately.

Ingredients
Here is where you should list all ingredients needed for your Wedding Morning and the picture lists. Check off the X boxes when you have everything you need and it is packed up into the Project. You will also want to list here any prop-type items you’ll want for the pictures.
There are 3 Sub-Project Lists that have a worksheet in the Workbook:
- Project Zero Bag & Project 28 Box {same worksheet}
- Bridesmaid Photo List
- Emergency Bridal Kit
These 3, along with your Bridesmaid Photo List, should just be a “See Attached” as their ingredients will not fit on the Project Block 0 Worksheet. They have already been listed on your worksheet as the first 3 ingredients.
Prior to Wedding
These are actions you need to take as opposed to things you need to buy. List tasks that need to be complete before the wedding day to ensure success including:
- Identify your Getting Ready SPACES for the entire wedding party
- Assemble your Project 0 Bag and Build your Bridesmaid Photo List
- Assemble your P28 Box and Emergency Bridal Kit
Logistics for Getting Ready
This box section serves as a quick reference for your coordinator to know who your Hair & Makeup Artists are. List their names and indicate with an H or M for Hair or Makeup in the H/M column. List their arrival times and phone numbers so that they can be called if they are late. Your coordinator will want that info!
The next, very small boxes are where you’ll list the location names for the Groomsmen and the bridesmaids, as well as when they are expected to arrive there. You should also write in the time that you, the bride, is expected to start your makeup.

Magic Travel Times
In these boxes, you need to list the exact time that you ladies and the gents need to drive away from wherever you’re getting ready and leave for the venue. If your getting-ready location is a hotel or a home, basically any location not on the wedding site, you’ll need this time.
To calculate it, use Google Maps to determine the drive time from your Getting Ready Location to your Venue. From the First Look time, go backward this amount of time, and add an additional 45 minutes for a cushion. 30 of which puts you on-site before the First Look, and 15 of which gives you cushion time for traffic
Example:
First Look is at 2:00 pm
Getting Ready Location is a 30-minute drive from the venue
So, 2:00 pm – 30 minutes {Drive Time} = 1:30 pm
1:30pm – 45 minutes {Cushion Time} = Magic Travel Time of 12:45pm
For the Groom, do the same formula but only a 30-minute cushion so that he arrives 15 minutes after the bride, so as not to interfere with the first look.
Bride & Groom Liaisons
These are the people you’re putting in charge of that Magic Travel Time. These people ensure that everyone is leaving by or has already left before the Magic Travel Time. These people are not in the Wedding Party and are not family, but instead, are on the outside of the commotion and can pop in with 30-minute warnings. They are then the last people to leave the Getting Ready locations so that they know everyone is ahead of them. They may even stay behind to do last-minute cleanups and check out so that the wedding party isn’t delayed.
Wedding Day Set Up:
The Green Box in the bottom left corner is the last box you’ll prepare.
- Check off when the Project is Done, Packed and Ready to Go to the Getty Ready Location and is loaded into a Big Day vehicle.
- Name some people who are bringing food and drinks for the Wedding Party to snack on or eat breakfast while they get their hair and makeup done. You’ll definitely want breakfast and water
- Dress Entourage: These are the people you want in the room, with the photographer, to get in the pictures or be with you while you’re getting into your dress. Be sure that mom and grandma know you want them there if you do!
- Mark off when your Project 28 Box is packed
- Is the Bridal Dressing Room also the Wedding Night Suite? If so, make sure all the girls take their stuff out so you’re not interrupted that evening.
- If anything needs to be moved from one location to another, mark it, especially if it is ALL.
