Eventually, the sun will set on your wedding day and this glorious chapter of your life will come to a close. You did it! You pulled together a beautiful wedding day. How will you leave it once and for all? Will you go out with a bang or sneak off into the sunset? This Project brings up loads of questions along with several options.

Building your Worksheet
Image:
Snag your favorite Sparkler Kiss inspiration off of Pinterest or even a great Getaway car idea! Staging pictures would be great too for your set up team!
Ingredients:
There are many potential ingredients you could list. Choose which exit strategy you’ll use as well as any Grand Send Off, then fill in your ingredient list accordingly. Visit the Project Block 24 Pinterest Board for even more inspiration.
Prior to Wedding:
List tasks that need to be complete before the wedding day to ensure success including:
- SEND-OFF
- Confirm with your venue what is allowed for a Grand Exit and Send Off
- Buy your Send Off materials {sparklers, confetti, bubbles, etc.}
- Coordinate your Send-Off area {tunnel, etc.}
- Make your signage, if needed
- GETAWAY
- Decide on the time you wish to exit the wedding
- Reserve a getaway vehicle
- Determine if you’ll change into another dress
- Determine if the Wedding Party can decorate the vehicle
- Assign your P24 Liaison
- Write your P24B Packing List
- Pre-Check-in to the hotel
- BOUQUET & GARTER
- Will you be tossing your bouquet from the exit vehicle or on the dance floor?
- Choose a tossing song for the Bouquet and/or garter
- Inform your DJ and add it to your song list
Overall Decisions/Tasks to complete this Project:
- Are you going out with a bang or are you sneaking off into the night? Which of the 4 options above are you planning?
- Tell me your P24 Liaison is {it could be GEG!} and how you plan to exit your reception.
- If you are going to a hotel that night, in a rented, driver escort car, how will you leave the hotel the next morning?
- Are you renting a getaway vehicle, or will it already be there? {Perhaps it is your own car}
- When does your getaway vehicle arrive and who is driving it?
Staging Materials:
You will want to get enough hurricane vases and candles for about every 10 people you think you’ll have in your tunnel. Stagger them on either side in a zig-zag… think like street lights, to get full coverage of your entire tunnel. Make your tunnel at least 10 feet wide so that you both can run down it comfortably without sparks in your face. You may want enough room in the middle for a “dip and kiss” too! By setting up your hurricane vases on the ground, you give your guests a guide to stay in formation and not get too narrow. Have Liaisons light the candles, then “ON THE COUNT OF THREE!” Announce it is time for all guests to dip into the candle flames {which are well protected by the vases} and still lit.
Wedding Day Set Up:
- Check off when the Project is Done, Packed and Ready to Go
- Check off when this Project is loaded into a Big Day vehicle
- Assign the Person who is setting HQ up for you {if different than the Person in Charge}
- Name your Person in Charge. He or she will then take over the Worksheet and check off the remaining Wedding Day Set Up boxes as they are completed.
