Wedding Programs. Wedding Favors IdeasYour Wedding Welcome Table is the first display that guests will see when they arrive. We call this area Project 2 because it comes second for your guest after the get through the Entry System. {Project 1} In the main post on Welcome Tables we explain the need for one and that it holds your Guest Book. But, another great thing about Project 2 is it is your display area for things that guests take in preparation for the ceremony. Yes, they may actually need and want a few things and you may want them to do something in your ceremony.

4 Things for your Wedding Welcome Table

The below suggestions are all fun ideas and inspirations. None of them are necessary if they are beyond your budget. But if you have the room to add some in they make great little details for your Big Day. 😉

1 | Programs

Programs are an awesome addition to your Wedding Ceremony because they help guests keep track or even know the words you’re saying when they can’t hear. I also love it when Programs give a little introduction about the Wedding Party and how they each know the bride and groom! Usually, a Liaison is greeting guests and distributing your Programs at the guest entry, but once the ceremony begins nobody is available to hand them out. You could also put one per seat of your ceremony but that takes a bit of time and if there is a slight wind, they’re gone for good. This makes your Welcome Table their perfect home!

Collecting vintage handkerchiefs to give as gifts {doubles as your favors! Money saver!} for women use throughout the wedding. These are beautiful and practical. They will actually be used for a good reason all day long!

I am a little obsessed with this particular trend right now since I LOVE it and very much wish I had done it at my wedding!

Collect some extra beautiful ones and embroider them with Bridesmaids’ initials! Moms too! Pick ones that fit them the best to carry with them the big day! 3 | Favors

Speaking of useful, some couples get elaborate and offer other useful things like sunglasses, hats, and even parasols to be used during the ceremony. Your ceremony may actually require a such a helpful favor too! If it is a hot day you may consider hand fans or parasols for shade or even umbrellas for rain. Bottled water can also live here on the wedding day. All these above totally double as your favor by the way! Favors are technically Project Block 5, but if you’re looking for a time and place to disperse them the Welcome Table is an option!

Money Saving Tip: If you want your guests to keep their favor {which you spent money on} odds are they’ll most likely keep it and remember to take it home if it serves a purpose. Make it a fun part of your Big Day if you’re spending the money anyway!

Wedding Ceremony Tossers. Ceremony Rose Petals. Unique Wedding Ceremony Ideas. 4 | Recessional Tossers

After you say I Do and take your walk back up the aisle as Newlyweds, your guests will applaud you and shower you with love… Or something else? Rice is a very traditional tosser for good luck or even fertility if you ask the right crowd 😉 You can also go a totally unique route! Guests might need your tosser explained, so on the Welcome Table put a sign that explains it. Sometimes you can put it on pew seats, etc but if not for wind or something… Or, for presentation, you may want them all in one place for the picture. At really windy, high up venues tossing rice might be a disaster or just ridiculously short lived so I have seen couples use these adorable ribbon wands instead! Visit this super inspiring DIY tutorial from Polka Dot Bride to make your own!

My Project 2 table displayed our Rose Petal Tossers. I punched out butterflies from all the rose petals I had received from Billy over our 7 year relationship…. You can read that hopelessly romantic story on your own time. 😉

I hope you found some Inspiration for your Welcome Table Coordinating!
